8:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
Minnesota Safety Council
474 Concordia Avenue
St. Paul, MN 55103
In this presentation, you'll learn how the Younger Drivers Toolkit can help local agencies educate younger drivers on driver behavior issues. The Minnesota Local Road Research Board funded the development of the toolkit to help local transportation engineering staff strengthen their understanding of and communication about younger driver fatal and serious injury crashes involving primary crash contributors—unbelted occupants, impaired driving, speed, and driver distraction.
This presentation will raise awareness of the toolkit and provide an overview of its contents. The toolkit includes crash fact sheets on younger drivers, a library of PSA videos, education on the TZD partnerships within the state and locally, and a PowerPoint presentation that local agencies can use to share information about younger drivers with the public.
