The TZD network encompasses many groups using varied strategies—but all working toward the same goal of improving traffic safety.

TZD program partners include the Minnesota Departments of Public Safety, Transportation, and Health; the Minnesota State Patrol; the Federal Highway Administration; Minnesota county engineers; and the Center for Transportation Studies.
Regional partners in the southeast, southwest, and northwest are working together to create initiatives and programs to reduce traffic fatalities in their localities.
The TZD Safe Roads Program addresses traffic safety issues through a multifaceted approach known as the 4 Es – Education, Enforcement, Engineering, and Emergency Medical Services.
Minnesota state departments and agencies are taking innovative approaches against the chief causes of traffic-related fatalities and injuries.
The organizations listed here pursue various traffic safety-related initiatives throughout the state and nation. As a result, they are a good source for related data, news, educational tools, printed materials, and other information.
The Minnesota Safe & Sober Campaign is the umbrella under which all of the Office of Traffic Safety enforcement programs reside.
