Southeast Minnesota TZD
In 2006, there were 494 deaths on Minnesota roadways; 69 of these occurred on southeast Minnesota roadways. The southeast Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths initiative includes partners from an 11-county area who work together to create programs to reduce traffic fatalities.
Southwest Minnesota TZD
It's not every day you see county sheriff deputies patrolling a highway outside their jurisdiciton. Add the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol, and you have an even rarer partnership. But it's exactly what happened when an enforcement effort brought these groups together in an innovative approach to improving highway safety in southwest Minnesota.
Northwest TZD
Northwest TZD includes the Minnesota counties of Kittson, Roseau, Lake of the Woods, Marshall, Beltrami, Polk, Pennington, Red Lake, Clearwater, Norman, Hubbard, and parts of Cass, Mahnomen, and Koochiching.
