The Minnesota Strategic Highway Safety Plan gives an overview of and coordinates with other safety plans within the state, including the Toward Zero Deaths program and those of the Minnesota Departments of Public Safety and Health. The SHSP also provides Mn/DOT districts and Minnesota county highway departments with technical assistance in ranking and deploying safety countermeasures within their jurisdictions based on detailed crash analyses.
The Minnesota SHSP identifies seven critical emphasis areas to reduce deaths on Minnesota's highways. This section contains research and resources within each of these areas.
