About the Event

Join Minnesota TZD, led by the Dakota County coalition, and MnDOT for the fourth annual Traffic Safety Day at MOA — celebrating more than 23 years of working to improve road safety in Minnesota! Held in the Huntington Bank Rotunda at Mall of America, the event aims to present road safety concerns and ideas to many of the 85,000 people projected to visit the mall that day from around the state.

Multiple exhibitors will cover many aspects of traffic safety, and frequent stage presentations will highlight topics such as impaired driving, first responders, school bus safety, and the effects of aging on older drivers. Key attractions will include the seat belt convincer and rollover persuader, a CarFit demonstration, and other law enforcement vehicles and displays. The successful Youth Seat Belt challenge will also be back this year with several teams competing for the champion’s cup. In addition, the rotunda's 24-foot video wall will continuously display road safety messages, video clips, and sponsor acknowledgments.

Major event funding is provided by a range of corporate and nonprofit groups.
