Lisa Kons — Traffic Safety and Advocacy Director, Minnesota Safety Council

Lisa Kons has dedicated more than 33 years to improving traffic safety across the state. In this role, she develops, coordinates, and implements a wide range of traffic safety programs designed to reduce injuries and fatalities on Minnesota’s roadways.

angela olson — Deputy and Education Director, Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota

angela olson (who prefers a lowercase styling of her name) has worked in the bike industry as a mechanic, service writer, and in sales, as well as leading rides and workshops for TWF (trans, women, femme) folks. Advocating for cycling and pedestrian safety speaks to her passion for public health and access. angela views her role at BikeMN as a perfect marriage between her personal interest and professional experience and lives in south Minneapolis with her two guinea pigs — Marshmallow Fluff and Caramel Cream.

Brad Petersen — Interim Director of Public Safety, City of Cottage Grove

Prior to his law enforcement career, Brad Petersen earned a BS in criminal justice and gained experience as a paramedic and firefighter. He served as a cavalry officer, leaving the Minnesota Army National Guard as a captain in 2019. As a 23-year veteran of Cottage Grove Public Safety, Brad was heavily invested in patrol operations, training, and SWAT. He rose through the ranks, holding many roles and responsibilities, and he is currently serving as the interim director/police chief, overseeing police, fire, EMS, and emergency management.  Brad builds partnerships while serving his community as vice president of the Mississippi River Valley Beyond the Yellow Ribbon and an active member of the Cottage Grove Lions Club. Brad is motivated to enhance public safety through innovation and proactivity, data-driven best practices, and community partnerships.

Colleen Wood — Pediatric Trauma and Performance Improvement Program Manager, Regions Hospital
